Bobby Lashley and Finn Balor battled on Raw and then the first-ever Universal Champion, Balor won in a pretty surprising fashion. It didn’t make much sense except to thank WWE’s 50/50 booking, but there could be a much bigger reason for this booking decision.
Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that Bobby Lashley is working hurt, the only question is how bad his injury might be.
“There could be a reason we’ll see in a week but Lashley’s hurt. I don’t know if he’s taking any time off, but he’s hurt.”
Only time will tell how badly Bobby Lashley is banged up. Hopefully, he won’t require any time off from the ring. After all, they just turned him heel and placed him with Lio Rush. That, and WWE’s current state of Raw and losing Roman Reigns like they did means that they can’t stand to have too many big losses to their roster.
