Much like any performer employed by WWE, NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa is a busy man. Flying from location to location to improve his craft and continue to make a name for himself, he doesn’t have time to mess around.
In a tweet Ciampa has just released, he recalls an encounter he recently had with a “fan” at the airport. The fan supposedly asked the Champion a number of times for an autograph, before Ciampa asked for the fan’s name. When the fan refused, telling Ciampa to just sign the items he brought, the Champion said no.
As Ciampa recalls it, the fan mentioned that he pays Ciampa’s salary. This prompted the Champion to walk away, as evidenced by the classic accompanying GIF of Ciampa waving goodbye to Johnny Gargano on NXT TV.

This incident is the latest case in what appears to be a trending idea. A lot of wrestlers from around the industry have differing opinions but have experienced similar troubles. Whether it be fans ambushing them at the airport or complaining that they pay the Superstar’s salary, this idea never seems to fade.
What are your thoughts on this situation? Should wrestlers still provide autographs in such situations? Let us know your thoughts, opinions, and reactions in those comments below.
