Asuka was a powerful force with an unheard of undefeated streak that she carried from NXT all the way to WrestleMania 34. But since her loss to Charlotte Flair, it looks like The Empress Of Tomorrow has had a rough time on television finding a new spot.
Bryan Alvarez discussed the subject briefly on Wrestling Observer Live how WWE was positioning her for a heel turn, but other things obviously came up.

“They’ve been talking about Asuka going heel for a while now but then they ended up turning Becky, so maybe they won’t turn her […] They had been talking about it and then something else happened.”

WWE has a very busy schedule coming up, but there’s always room for Asuka. After all, her take-no-prisoners approach could translate into heel status very well.
