Brian Christopher was found hanging from his jail cell on Sunday and he was rushed to the hospital. Christopher was kept on life support until his father Jerry Lawler could make it in from Raleigh where he was at a fan convention.

Lawler spoke to Memphis’ Fox 13 over the phone where he said that he takes comfort in the fact that he was able to hold his son’s hand until his heart stopped.

Christopher was in solitary confinement while incarcerated due to his celebrity status, but other than that, he had no reason to be there. Jail employees tried to revive Brian when they found him hanging, but it was too late.

Lawler said, “there’s more than meets the eye,” in regards to the investigation surrounding Brian’s passing.

This is a sad situation and our thoughts are still with those involved.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
