This is a very interesting turn of events, but it still fits in with the timeline of Matt Riddel coming to WWE, of course, we’ll officially know for sure when something is announced, but it looks like he’s free to do what he wants for at least the next week.

Progress, who has been friendly with WWE in the past, has added Riddle to their shows on August 5th in Boston and 7th in NYC.

Riddle is now scheduled to face former WWE UK Champion Tyler Bate in Boston and Mark Andrews two days later. Both of his upcoming opponents have WWE contracts of some type.

Although it’s not a sign that Riddle is definitely coming to WWE, it’s interesting that he could pick up these dates after canceling so many around him including PWG’s BOLA shows.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
