The Iron Sheik Shares Stories About Best Friend Nikolai Volkoff

The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff were a great tag-team during their prime and were close friends behind the scenes as well. The two held the WWF Tag Team Championships and had a successful reign together.

Naturally, Sheik got very emotional on Twitter after hearing the news of his best friend’s demise. Sheik sent out multiple tweets remembering his tag team partner and shared some fond memories he had of Volkoff.

Sheik remembered the time when Volkoff would make dinner for them in their hotel room because they didn’t want to go to a restaurant in disguise. He also remembered the times when they received compliments from Vince McMahon because they were such tremendous heels.
