Top WWE Superstar Not Traveling To Saudi Arabia For Greatest Royal Rumble

The Greatest Royal Rumble is going to feature plenty of top names in WWE and a few surprises as well. But one top Superstar won’t be making the trip because Sami Zayn is apparently staying home.

According to Brad Shepard of BodySlam.net Sami Zayn was told he wasn’t needed for the Greatest Royal Rumble event which is why backstage angle was shot writing him out of the storyline.

The relationship between Saudi Arabia and Syria is strained on many levels and has been for a long time. Therefore the feeling backstage is Zayn wasn’t brought over for the Greatest Royal Rumble due to the fact he’s a Syrian Muslim.

On top of everything, the Superstars who were chosen for the Greatest Royal Rumble were given a strict set of rules that they must abide by while in Saudi Arabia.
