Drew McIntyre came up from NXT during the Superstar Shake-Up because Dolph Ziggler didn’t go to Raw alone. The former members of 3MB and The Spirit Squad are now a tag team on Raw and they’ve had an impressive outing so far in their one real match on the show.

But when Dave Meltzer discussed this booking decision he commented on how this is likely only the start of Drew McIntyre on WWE’s main roster this time around. But first, the pair could very well pick up some gold along the way.

“They’re a really good team. They could be the Tag Team Champions. They should be the Tag Team Champions and probably split and I sense that’s what it is because I can’t believe for a second that their longterm vision of McIntyre is in a tag team with Dolph Ziggler. I think it’s a way to kind of slowly build him up then do the turn on each other and then McIntyre is being pushed to higher spots on the card.”

It’s good that WWE has plans in the works, let’s just hope it turns out better this time around for both Dolph and Drew.
