Speculation on Ronda Rousey Swerving Fans

It was reported earlier this week via TMZ that Ronda Rousey said she would not be participating in the Women’s Royal Rumble match this Sunday and revealed that she will be shooting a movie instead.

Dave Meltzer discussed Ronda’s remarks on the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Live and mentioned that she probably won’t be there and if she was going to be there she wouldn’t have said anything at all. The belief is she doesn’t want to disappoint fans by her absence so something had to be said.

In regards to Ronda not having an agreement or deal with WWE, Meltzer said he “doesn’t buy that for one second.” Several would hard to believe that Ronda would be training since last summer without a working deal or “working idea” of a deal in place.
