During the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed Bayley’s status with WWE and indicated that the company has given up on her as pushing her as the top female competitor on the RAW women’s roster.

“They have already given up on her. And they’ve given up on her a long long time ago. When they’re gonna protect Mickie James over you when Mickie James was brought in to be a filler to lose on the roster, that just tells you. The dice has been cast with her already.”

Prior to being called up to the main roster, many within the company believed that Bayley could be the “John Cena” for the women’s division, given how much she was over with the fans while in NXT. Bayley’s popularity has seemingly died down a bit since her debut and it doesn’t look like WWE has any major plans for her moving forward. Bayley has been teasing in recent interviews that a “change” to her character is needed. It’s just a matter if and when WWE decides to do so.
