Dave Meltzer indicated in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE may be planning for a match between Ronda Rousey and Asuka later down the road.

Meltzer pointed out that Asuka recently changed her finishing hold from the chicken wing to the arm bar on WWE television and with Ronda being an “armbar master” that this could play into something more.

Meltzer wrote, “Given Asuka switching from the chicken wing Asuka lock to the armbar, and Rousey as the legit armbar master, and then giving Asuka the shooter push and protecting her so much, that would seem to be a natural match up down the line.”

In regards to Ronda’s main roster debut, the plan is for her to work a program with either Stephanie McMahon or Charlotte Flair. There has also been talk doing a 4 Horsewoman vs. 4 Horsewoman feud. It remains to be seen which match they go with  but those are the plans for now.
