The Ross Report Recap w/ Brooklyn Brawler – Ric Flair’s Recovery, Working with The Rock, Relationship with Ultimate Warrior, More!

[adace-ad id="652493"]

Brawler points out that he had a lot of Superstars’ first matches in WWE, because WWE officials trusted him to have good matches with green performers. He had The Rock’s first match, Bret Hart’s first match, and Ricky Steamboat’s first match to name a few.

Ross says that when The Rock was starting in WWE the company was very high on him. They put Brawler with Rock for his first match so that Brawler could lead him through his first match. Brawler mentions that he went to dinner with Rock after the match and told him to keep his mouth shut while he continues to grow as a performer.

Ross says that Rock always had a special confidence in himself. Right after WWE signed him Rock looked Ross in the face and said, “I’m going to be the best guy on your roster”, and this was before he even had his first match in the company. Ross says Rock’s confidence never came off as arrogance, rather it was a confidence that drew you in and made you cheer for him. Brawler agrees entirely.
