WWE had its final event at the famous Joe Louis Arena in Detroit on 29th of July. The iconic building is set to close its doors forever on the 30th of July. The building has witnessed a number of iconic WWE moments including the Undertaker’s debut match, John Cena’s first ever pay-per-view match and in a more recent memory, the return of Shane McMahon.

WWE’s Twitter account posted this video of its history with the Joe Louis Arena:

After defeating Rusev in the Main Event of the House Show, Cena bid adieu to the building. Here’s what Cena said in his closing promo:

“Fifteen years ago, I had my very first PPV match, in this building. Everyone here tonight knows all about the energy and the aura that you get surrounded by when stepping foot in this building right here.”
