BREAKING NEWS: WWE Releases Austin Aries from WWE Contract

WWE announced on their website and social media the release of Austin Aries. Here is an excerpt of what they wrote:

“WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Austin Aries. WWE wishes Aries the best in all of his future endeavors.”

As of this writing, no other details are known to exactly why he was released. It was said that after his program with Neville for the cruiserweight title, that he would be taking a couple weeks off from the company and that’s why he hasn’t been appearing on television lately.

Prior to WWE making his announcement, Aries appeared to be in a pretty good mood on Twitter today. He sent out the following tweets:
