While competing at a show celebrating the 45th anniversary of the debut of Tatsumi Fujinami, Vader had a moment where he briefly passed out. Vader noted on Twitter that the incident occurred because he was dropped on his head and not related to his heart problems.

Reddit user kamatacci wrote the following about the incident:

“Not lost consciousness collapsed, but he fell to his back after the match, right when Inoki was coming out to give a speech. Muto and Akira were giving him water and trying to keep him cool. He eventually rolled out and walked to the back with minimal help, but he did somewhat stumble there too. Once in the match after he and Riki were exchanging blows, he very much legit fell to one knee. He was surprisingly active during the match, and even did a turnbuckle spot, but he’s in terrible shape and wasn’t looking too comfortable in the ring. He has two more events this tour. “
