As previously reported, Drew McIntyre revealed to ESPN that he has signed a full-time deal with WWE to return to the company under the NXT brand. This topic was discussed heavily on the latest installment of the Wrestling Observer Radio by Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez.

Dave Meltzer says that the deal between Drew and WWE came together at last minute. The indication is that Drew will be working the NXT brand and also the UK brand, as Drew is seen as a big name in the United Kingdom. With Nakamura expected to debut on the main roster soon, NXT needs solid talent to fill the roster and McIntyre is believed to be an asset to the brand.

Dave also mentioned that WWE will allow him to return to WhatCulture to drop the WCPW World Championship title that he currently holds.
