As noted earlier today, Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the planned main event for next year’s WrestleMania 34 event will see Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Title.

It was noted that the company plans to continue to push Reigns as the top babyface of the company and eventually replace Cena as the top babyface of the company. WWE attempted to do this back at WrestleMania 31, however the fans turned on Reigns after he won the Royal Rumble.

In an update, Dave Meltzer mentioned on Wrestling Observer Live today that there is a good chance that the plans for Reigns vs. Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 could change. Meltzer explained that in previous years plans have often diverted from what the company has in mind for the annual event. Meltzer added that there is a “50/50 chance” the match will take place.
