Former WWE Superstar CM Punk Screen Tested for Lead Role in Pro Wrestling Drama Series

Former WWE Superstar CM Punk screen tested for a lead role in the Starz professional wrestling drama titled “Heels” which was at one point being fast tracked by the network with plans for an eight episode season.

According the PWInsider, the plot of the series will focus on two brothers, one a babyface, and one a heel dealing with struggles behind their scenes after their father passed away. CM Punk screen tested for the heel brother role of Jack Spade and impressed the casting directors.

After several months of casting, “Heels” has been put on hold by the producers of the show. At one point the producers hoped to cast Henry Cavill and Jack Reynor as the leads.

It’s very possible that CM Punk could be brought back into the mix depending on what happens with the show.
