Former WWE Superstar Chris Masters had a decent time in WWE, where he would win championship gold. He was released by WWE in 2007 before returning for a second run in 2009.

While speaking to INSIGHT. with Chris Van Vliet, The Masterpiece talked about his WWE career. Masters stated that there might have been plans for him to work with John Cena early on in his career.

However, he then claimed that John Cena might have shot down the idea of working with him.

“I know they were considering Cena and me for an angle. I think probably looking back, if anything, I think Cena might have shot that down. I don’t think Cena was too happy working with me around that time.”

Masters presumed that Cena’s disinterest in wanting to face him might have been due to the fact that Masters was still inexperienced back then. Masters now goes by the name Chris Adonis and is currently the NWA National Champion. We wonder whether he will ever make his return to WWE.
