Summerslam weekend has officially ended. We had another fantastic Takeover event and a long and underwhelming Summerslam. Summerslam itself proved that a fantastic main event can make an OK event good. Takeover proved that even if NXT is not in its best of times that the big events will always deliver.

Summerslam had some great matches and performances, even if it was not the best of events.. In particular the main event which blew away any and all expectations. Takeover impressed consistently through the whole card with its worst match being a great one at worst. Throughout the whole weekend though various individual performances have shone through. Superstars have proved themselves and furthered their status in the company left, right and centre.

Whether in their in ring performance or in the impact they made, this article will look at the MVP’s of Summerslam weekend. This article will look at both NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III and Summerslam.
