During the mailbag segment of today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked if The Rock would be available to wrestle a match at next year’s WrestleMania 34 event. While Meltzer mentioned he didn’t exactly know if there are plans for The Rock to be involved in next year’s event, he mentioned that there are many factors that could prevent him from doing a match or even making an appearance.

Meltzer mentioned that insurance reasons are the primary factor as to why The Rock hasn’t been active in a wrestling match for the past couple of years. When The Rock was injured previously, there were setbacks to filming the Hercules movie. It all basically boils down to risk. If The Rock decides to appear at WrestleMania and gets injured again, he could jeopardize his film projects which are more important to him right now than his wrestling commitments.

Meltzer mentioned that if The Rock has a project going on around the time of WrestleMania, he can’t see him being allowed to wrestle in a match of any sorts. However, if The Rock doesn’t have a movie there is that chance that he could be in action at next year’s event.
