As many of you are aware, Braun Strowman recently suffered an injury. He will be out of action for a couple of months after he opts to get the surgery he needs. WWE originally had plans for Braun to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at the July and August pay-per-view events, however those plans may be nixed if he is unable to return.

Bryan Alvarez mentioned on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live that WWE will hold a series of matches on RAW to determine the next challenger for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship, presumably a tournament of sorts. Very little details are known regarding the tournament right now, but we will keep you updated.
