As seen at Sunday’s WWE Payback event, Bray Wyatt competed against Randy Orton in a House of Horrors match that saw the first half of the match taped at an undisclosed location inside of a house and the second half of the match finishing inside the arena in the middle of the ring. The match received bad reviews and some would argue that it’s probably one of the worst gimmick matches of all time within WWE. Many are questioning who’s bright idea was it to have this type of match in the first place.

Court Bauer, who is a former WWE writer, revealed on the latest installment of MLW that it was actually Michael Hayes’ idea for the match. Bauer claims that Hayes has been pitching the idea for this type of match for over 15 years. Vince McMahon finally gave the okay for the match to take place.

It’s probably safe to say that we will never see a match like this again within WWE.
