Jack Swagger Done with WWE

While appearing on Chael Sonnen’s podcast, Jack Swagger announced that he asked for his release from WWE on Monday and they granted his request. Swagger said the negotiations were not in his favor and that’s why he asked for it.

“Basically, it came down to contract negotiations. We were way off. They didn’t value me at what I thought I was valued at,” said the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Jack has been employed with WWE dating back to 2006. He’s held multiple championships during that time, but recently hasn’t appeared on television in sometime. During the brand split he was drafted to RAW but ended up being switch to SmackDown shortly after. He would end up wrestling against Baron Corbin at No Mercy and hasn’t been used much on TV since.
