WWE Performers Who Could Be The Next Big Stars After John Cena

WWE has yet to find a star who could match John Cena’s level of popularity. The Cenation leader was WWE’s biggest draw for nearly a decade. WWE may have found their next bankable star in Roman Reigns but the Tribal Chief is a unique case due to the fact that he plays a heel character while being the most recognizable face on WWE TV. The good thing is that RAW, SmackDown and NXT 2.0 are filled with talents who could be WWE’s next biggest stars. That being said, here are four WWE superstars who could reach John Cena’s level of popularity.

Gable Steveson

Gable Steveson is a generational talent and there’s no arguing that. The Olympic gold medalist hung up his boots after clinching his second NCAA Division I National Championship earlier this year. He is currently under training and going through college before he makes his WWE in-ring debut, which is expected to be huge.

Gable Steveson

Gable Steveson could be WWE’s next breakout star because the company has repeatedly shown their faith in the young wrestler. Gable received endorsement from Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 38 and even shared a moment with RK-Bro after hitting Chad Gable with a belly-to-belly suplex inside the ring.

Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker used to crush his opponents during his college football days before landing a career with the WWE. For those not in the know, Breakker real name is Bronson Rechsteiner and he’s the son of WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner.

Bron Breakker

WWE decided to make Breakker the face of NXT 2.0 and safe to say that the 24-year-old is handling the huge responsibility extremely well. Breakker is the current NXT Champion in his second reign and is being primed for a top stop on the main roster.

Theory

Theory had humble beginnings in Triple H’s NXT as a member of Johnny Gargano’s The Way stable before getting called up on the main roster where he tagged with Angel and former WWE star Andrade for some time. Of course, Vince McMahon saw the talent in the young wrestler and decided to bring him under his wing.

Theory

Theory represented the boss against SmackDown commentator Pat McAfee at WrestleMania 38. He went on to defeat Finn Balor for the United States Championship last month on RAW. Theory has been endorsed by John Cena himself. It’s only a matter of time before the young champion drops his selfie gimmick and grab the proverbial brass ring.

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes made his triumphant return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 and became the company’s top star in a matter of weeks. The American Nightmare is a regular on RAW where he continues to entertain fans with his quality promos and matches.

Cody Rhodes

WWE knows that Cody Rhodes is a draw and they are doing everything it takes to give him the special treatment, which includes multiple pyros for his entrance and a timer. Cody could be WWE’s biggest star since John Cena, provided he retains the momentum in future.
