CM Punk left WWE before Daniel Bryan’s run through WrestleMania XXX. It’s an interesting question to consider, but would YestleMania have happened if CM Punk stayed in WWE?

Punk was set to face Triple H at WrestleMania XXX. Daniel Bryan was set to face Sheamus. The main event was set to be Randy Orton vs Batista. CM Punk walked out leaving Triple H without an opponent. Due to Daniel Bryan’s rise in popularity, he was placed in the main event scene and Triple H was worked into that program. Daniel Bryan faced Triple H in the opening match followed by a triple threat match in the main event. If Triple H didn’t have a match out of the deal, it’s interesting to consider whether Daniel Bryan would have been positioned in that WrestleMania XXX main event slot. If CM Punk never walked out, then Triple H would have been in a match already with no way to taunt Bryan as the leader of The Authority.

CM Punk and Daniel Bryan obviously have a lot to talk about and they can discuss everything on WWE Backstage next week. The Second City Savior will be live via webcam. They revealed tonight that Daniel Bryan will join them.

This could be an interesting conversation where they can discuss old times. They might even talk about whether CM Punk walking out of WWE really opened the door for Daniel Bryan’s push.
