Shelly Martinez Accuses WWE of Trying to Erase Her from Company’s History

There have been many controversial names who have once worked in WWE but the company ultimately decided to scrub their existence after their release for one reason or the other. Interestingly enough, Shelly Martinez has also accused WWE of erasing her from WWE’s history.

While speaking on Ring the Belle, Shelly Martinez accused WWE of trying to erase her from its history. She expressed frustration over how long it took for the company to acknowledge her, pointing out that she was absent from their alumni page for many years.

Martinez believes she was treated unfairly compared to others who had done worse or cost the company money. Despite this, she feels her outspoken nature led to her being erased. While she acknowledges that WWE’s actions may not matter in the bigger picture, she still finds it disappointing to be treated in this way.

“But here’s the thing—WWE has tried to erase me. It took them a really long time to even acknowledge me. They usually only do it around October, which makes sense, but there was a long time when they didn’t at all. I wasn’t on their alumni page or anything. There are people who’ve done way worse than I did. Oh, what? I’ve got a big mouth, so you kicked me out? Big deal. There are people who’ve done shady things, cost the company money, and yet I’m the one they’re trying to erase. That’s when I realized, dude, it’s all a work. It doesn’t even matter.”

Shelly Martinez’s claims bring attention to an ongoing issue with how WWE treats former talent, especially those who don’t fit into the company’s preferred narrative. While her case might seem small, it does show how WWE handles former Superstars, particularly those who are outspoken or leave under difficult circumstances.
