Juice Robinson was supposed to set the world on fire as part of the Continental Classic tournament but he ended up suffering an injury last month and has been out of action ever since. It has now been confirmed that he recently underwent successful surgery and is now on the path to recovery.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Juice Robinson recently had successful surgery on his broken fibula. However, the exact length of his recovery period is still unknown at this time.
Juice Robinson broke his fibula during his AEW Continental Classic Gold League match against Will Ospreay on November 30. Although Will Ospreay won the match, Robinson got injured. The injury happened during a regular sunset flip move, which is a routine move in wrestling.
Robinson was replaced by rising lucha star Komander on December 3 after it became clear he couldn’t continue in the Gold League. Robinson first had problems with his leg during WrestleCade weekend, where he was using crutches but thought it was just a sprain. He waited until December 2 to get an X-ray, which showed that his fibula was broken.
Injuries can happen at any time in the world of professional wrestling and Juice Robinson’s injury is simply an unfortunate one. Nonetheless, we’ll have to see when Robinson will make his triumphant return to in-ring action, as fans will certainly miss him until then.
