WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus isn’t ruling out a return to the ring, but she’s making it clear that if she does, it has to be something truly special.

During an interview with The Takedown on Sports Illustrated, Stratus opened up about her mindset after her 2023 feud with Becky Lynch, which culminated in a brutal Steel Cage match at WWE Payback. While she made a brief appearance at Money in the Bank 2024, fans are still waiting for confirmation on whether she’ll make another comeback.

Reflecting on her career and her recent storyline with Lynch, Stratus said, “I have to be able to deliver a hundred percent. Then also, it has to be something challenging and different for the fans. And it has to do something and mean something.”

For Stratus, the stakes are high when it comes to adding to her already legendary resume. “To leave off on this epic moment that’s memorable and people talk about it, it’s hard. Like, what can top that?”

Stratus discussed that any potential return would involve a lot of collaboration. “I think it’s like examining the landscape and seeing what works best for everyone. There’s so many parties to consider—the person that is in the storyline, the WWE. It’s really collaborative.”

For now, Stratus seems content to let her iconic moments speak for themselves while keeping an open mind about future opportunities in WWE. Whether she steps back into the ring or not, her legacy as one of the greatest women’s wrestlers of all time is already secure.
