AEW entered the video game market last year by releasing AEW Fight Forever, which had a lot of hype behind it. While the game got mixed reviews, fans have been curious if AEW will release more games in the future, and now Tony Khan has addressed the future of AEW releasing more video games in the future.
While speaking to Mr. Wright Way, Tony Khan was asked about AEW’s plans to explore new consoles for video games and the potential timeline for a new AEW game release. He explained that the experience with AEW Fight Forever had been a great success and that it marked an important milestone for AEW as a multimedia conglomerate and worldwide corporation.
Khan stated that AEW Fight Forever remains widely available for players around the globe, and the company is fully committed to supporting it with new wrestlers and exciting updates.
Tony Khan added that while AEW has future plans to release additional games, the current focus is on enhancing Fight Forever and ensuring it delivers the best possible experience. He noted that the gaming industry offers many opportunities, which AEW is eager to explore further in the future.
“Well, that’s a great question. I think it was a great experience for us, and it’s going to be an important focus for AEW as a multimedia conglomerate and a worldwide corporation. Definitely, AEW Fight Forever was a great first entry. People can still play AEW Fight Forever all over the world, and we’re fully supporting that right now.
I’m really excited about Fight Forever because there’s still more wrestlers and exciting updates coming to the game. Eventually, we’ll absolutely continue to put out more AEW games, but for now, our focus is on making Fight Forever the best experience it can be. There are so many opportunities in the world of gaming, and we’re excited to explore them.”
It is to be noted that AEW is currently looking for a new partner for their upcoming video game projects and will likely part ways with Yukes. Therefore, we will have to wait and see when AEW will decide to release more games in the future, especially on modern consoles, as fans feel the company would do better with their next game after AEW Fight Forever.
