Pat Buck, AEW Vice President of Talent Development, surprised fans with a comedic turn on Saturday Night Live. Buck appeared in a sketch for “Gladiator II: The Musical,” showcasing a side of himself few have seen before.
Buck shared a clip of his performance on social media, captioning it with the tongue-in-cheek hashtag “#SNL50” and a playful comparison: “Sword > Piledriver.” The clip quickly gained traction, with fans praising Buck for his comedic timing and versatility outside the wrestling ring.
Known for his impactful tenure in AEW as both an executive and producer, Buck has recently been keeping a lower profile in the wrestling world. His SNL appearance, however, proves he hasn’t lost his ability to entertain in any arena.
While the sketch parodied a fictional musical adaptation of “Gladiator II,” the real sequel, starring Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, and Pedro Pascal, is currently making waves in theaters.
