Even after his WWE departure, Matt Riddle is proving that some bonds go beyond the wrestling ring. Speaking with The Delz Show ahead of his appearance at WrestleCade 2024, Riddle opened up about his enduring friendship with Randy Orton, his former tag team partner in the fan-favorite duo RK-Bro.
“Dude, we’re bros!” Riddle said. “I wished him a happy Thanksgiving, and he wished me one back. Like that, I wished him one too, and he hit me back as well. Maybe one day we’ll do the same thing again.”
Riddle’s connection with Orton, both on-screen and off, left a lasting impact. “Me and Randy, you know, we were like peanut butter and jelly. Nothing crazy, you know? But it worked—it worked perfectly, dude. It was a classic clash of characters. And I think the best part for us was that in real life, we actually meshed really well.”
Riddle reflected on their iconic WrestleMania moments as tag team champions, emphasizing how their chemistry extended beyond the squared circle.
As fans eagerly await Orton’s next WWE match, Riddle’s comments serve as a reminder of the magic they created together—and the possibility of a future reunion, even if it’s outside WWE.
Riddle is set to participate in WrestleCade 2024 at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, over Thanksgiving weekend.
