Former WWE star AJ Francis isn’t pulling any punches ahead of his match against George South at WrestleCade 2024, and he’s making sure to take Jake Paul down a peg in the process. In a scathing promo released ahead of the event, Francis used his platform to call out Paul’s lack of respect for elders while warning South to steer clear of their match.
“George South wrestled Ric Flair in 1988—two years before I was alive. That George South,” Francis said, highlighting his respect for the wrestling legend. But Francis made it clear that his respect for veterans like South doesn’t extend to everyone. “George, you’re a legend, and I have a lot of respect for my elders—unlike Jake Paul.”
The jab at Paul didn’t end there. Francis followed up with a stern warning to South. “I’m going to offer you a piece of advice: Don’t show up. I am dead serious.” The former WWE star capped off his promo with a humorous dig at early Christmas decorators, calling them “tacky,” but the spotlight remained on his disdain for Paul’s antics.
Francis’ comments come just ahead of his match at WrestleCade 2024, which will take place on Saturday, November 30, at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The event kicks off at 5:45 PM ET and will feature a stacked card of wrestling action. Fans can tune in live via Title Match Network to catch Francis’ showdown with South and other high-profile matches.
Francis’ dig at Paul has wrestling fans buzzing with speculation about whether the remark could spark a war of words—or even a potential crossover showdown. For now, all eyes are on WrestleCade to see if Francis can back up his bold talk in the ring.
