Liv Morgan has fought hard to become one of the top women in WWE. As the first-ever Women’s Crown Jewel Champion, she has a ring to prove her excellence. She also understands how the division she represents is doing big things as a whole.
While speaking to the Ringer Wrestling podcast, Liv Morgan brought up the fact that the women in WWE are pulling big viewership numbers. She is at the forefront of it all, but obviously, she is very proud to be a part of the greater movement.
When asked about the women in NXT, Liv Morgan had nothing but great things to say about the brand. She name-dropped many of those Superstars while stating that she has her eye on all of them.
“I’m kinda excited about it all. I’m not waiting per se, but if they want to call me, then I’ll make myself available. But seriously, their division is so incredible, top to bottom. I’m like, ‘wow, how lucky are we that we are secure for the next generation of women’s wrestling.’ It’s cool, because you like to leave things better than how you found them. It’s cool, because I can’t wait to watch them. Giulia, Stephanie, Roxanne, Jaida Parker, Thea Hale, Lola Vice, Lash, Jakara, all of them. I think they’re all really really talented. Tatum Paxley. I can’t wait to mix it up with all of them.”
Liv Morgan was then asked about the unveiling of the new WWE Women’s United States Title on the SmackDown side of the company. She responded to praise the women’s division, because there is a lot to talk about.
“I think the title looks grand, it looks important. I love how we’re just gonna have more representation. Because, our roster is stacked, too. I know I just said how amazing the NXT locker room is, but so is RAW and SmackDown, so for them to have another title to fight for that’s not mine, also — get outta here HAHA — you guys aren’t getting this one. It’s mine, you guys fight for that [new title].”
“I think more representation is important, and the women are draws. You know, we get, a lot of times, the highest rated segments of the show, so it’s cool for that to be kinda acknowledged and kinda rewarded, like, here y’all go, here’s another championship in our division. I think it’s amazing that another woman will get a title and a time to shine and the opportunity.”
WWE has always prided themselves on promoting women’s wrestling. The Give Divas A Chance movement spawned the WWE Women’s Revolution. Eventually, fans got the only WWE Evolution pay-per-view, a female-only event, and they are still waiting for a sequel.
We will have to see what Liv Morgan does in WWE from this point on. Many would argue that she is already a shoo-in WWE Hall of Famer, and she is very happy to see the next generation stepping up to the plate.
