Logan Paul’s solid success in professional wrestling, especially his reign as the United States Champion, certainly surprised fans. Although he’s no longer the US Champion, he still keeps up with WWE’s product. Recently, many fans accused Paul of stealing Jey Uso’s “Yeet” catchphrase and now he has addressed the same.
Jey Uso began his singles run last year after leaving SmackDown and moving to RAW, where he introduced his “Yeet” catchphrase. It has become synonymous with his character and it’s helped him sell a ton of merchandise as well.
Before Jake Paul’s upcoming fight with Mike Tyson, Logan Paul sparked backlash from WWE fans after using the phrase “Yeet” in a recent video, as many fans accused him of stealing Jey Uso’s catchphrase.
The Maverick took to his Instagram story and uploaded a video where he addressed accusations of stealing Jey Uso’s catchphrase. Paul defended himself as he claimed that he actually started using it first. Logan Paul added that he would keep using “Yeet” however he wanted. He even shared an old clip of himself saying “Yeet” to show he used it before it became popular in WWE.
“Clearly you don’t know your internet history. I’m daddy yeet. The grandfather of the yeet, I began the yeet and I will yeet as I please.”
Logan Paul also plans on changing his WWE schedule next year and having a more active schedule. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see if Paul and Jey Uso will end up having a “Yeet” off somewhere down the line, as fans would love to see that happen.
