Wheeler Yuta was supposed to be the one person who had Bryan Danielson’s back in his war against Blackpool Combat Club. That wasn’t the case as Yuta ended up betraying his former mentor at WrestleDream and now Yuta has broken his silence on the matter.
AEW WrestleDream 2024‘s main event saw Danielson defending his AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley in a match with a lot of high stakes. When all was said and done, Moxley won the match by making Danielson pass out, thus becoming the new champion.
Following the conclusion of the match, Jon Moxley was joined in the ring by Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Marina Shafir. Moxley placed the AEW Championship inside a bag and then pulled out a plastic bag, signaling an ominous plan to suffocate Bryan Danielson. Just as they were about to go through it, Darby Allin, accompanied by Wheeler Yuta, rushed down with a chair to stop that from happening.
Unfortunately, Yuta ended up attacking Allin and then placed the plastic bag on Danielson’s head, suffocating him in the process. It was evident Yuta didn’t really want to do it, but ultimately went through with it anyway.
Wheeler Yuta took to his Instagram today and uploaded a photo of himself alongside Jon Moxley, as he broke his silence on the matter by apologizing to The American Dragon for his heinous actions.
”sorry, bryan”
Bryan Danielson is expected to undergo neck surgery following AEW WrestleDream, so he will be out of action for a considerable amount of time. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether AEW will end up making Wheeler Yuta a big heel by the time Danielson is back, as Danielson will definitely have revenge on his mind.
