Kenny Omega’s tag team match with Chris Jericho for the AEW World Tag Team Championships was interrupted due to Omega’s battle with diverticulitis, a serious condition that needed urgent surgery and pushed back their plans. Omega had already undergone surgery for this issue, but he was recently seen with a fan looking healthier.
On the May 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega made his first TV appearance since December to give fans an update on his recovery from diverticulitis. Unfortunately, his return was brief as he was attacked by The Elite, including The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada. This led to Omega being written off TV.
Since then, Kenny Omega has had surgery to address his condition and is currently in recovery. Fans are eagerly awaiting updates on when he will be able to return to in-ring action.
As seen in a recent photo, Kenny Omega was spotted posing with a fan and The Best Bout Machine looked much healthier and happier in the photo, giving fans hope about an eventual return.
Kenny Omega had been making steady progress after his surgery, so the results speak for themselves. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether the Best Bout Machine will make his triumphant return to AEW this year, as fans definitely miss him a lot.
