Johnny Gargano Backs CM Punk’s WWE Comeback

CM Punk remains one of the most controversial professional wrestlers in the business right now, who never fails to make a headline no matter what he does. There is a lot of speculation about him going back to WWE following his AEW firing. Now even Johnny Gargano is backing Punk’s return.

For the past couple of months, WWE has made several references to CM Punk in their programming. USA Network dropping blatant references further added to the speculation as well, which they have done a couple of times already.

While speaking to Tim on Battleground, Johnny Gargano was asked about Punk returning to WWE. Gargano stated that he supports CM Punk’s return as it would get more eyes on the product.

“There are so many eyes currently on WWE television. Obviously, every little bit helps. I mentioned how Logan Paul has taken the United States Championship all over the world with him and getting new eyes on the product. At the end of the day, whatever is going to get more eyes on WWE television, that’s the best move possible. Whoever that may be, whoever they bring in, whatever eyes they bring in. I’m all for it.”

A WWE employee also believes there is way for Punk to compete in WWE again. WWE Creative has not been told anything regarding the potential return for CM Punk. Only time will tell if he will return at Survivor Series this month.
