Sonya Deville’s time as 1/2 of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions did not end the way she wanted it to at all. Her ACL injury and surgery after that was a life-changing experience, and it caused the former Fire & Desire member to create a new normal for herself.
We previously covered how Sonya Deville is flipping houses during her WWE hiatus. That takes a lot of time, but she’s still focusing on her rehab in a serious fashion as well.
Sonya Deville recently opened up her Instagram to a Q&A, and she got some good questions. Deville was asked by one fan, “What do you do when you don’t have rehab?” This received quite a detailed response.
“So life obviously is a lot different now than the past 8.5 years have been. So it’s been an adjustment figuring out how to allocate my time and energy, so I don’t go stir-crazy but also have amazing present quality time with my family.
So a day in the life is Rehab.
Errands pertaining to our flip house.
More rehab at home or upper body workout.
Then the evenings are running around doing all the mom things w the kids and Toni.
Coloring, reading, podcasts have been a big part as well.”
Sonya Deville’s rehab is also going as well as it can. She updated fans to let them know that she’s walking without crutches now, which is a step in the right direction.
We will have to see what WWE does with Sonya Deville upon her return. Fans will probably be very happy to have her back, because she was a fixture on WWE television for a while. Her injury happened with terrible timing attached, but injuries never happen when they are expected.
WWE also had a lot of hope that Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville’s team would stabilize the WWE Women’s Tag Team Division. After Deville exited due to her injury, Piper Niven was placed alongside Green to carry the titles.
Sonya Deville is still keeping fans updated, and it’s apparent that she misses her life with WWE. Hopefully, that will happen sooner than expected, and we will be here at Ringside News to provide you with all the updates.
