WWE is planning a big SmackDown for this week. It appears that they weren’t done booking the night, either. Now, two former rivals must be forced to team up and take on quite a team on the blue brand’s show this week.

Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair are gearing up to join forces for a significant tag team showdown scheduled for the August 18th edition of WWE SmackDown. This is interesting, because at WWE SummerSlam, Bianca Belair emerged victorious over Asuka and Charlotte Flair, securing the WWE Women’s Championship. However, IYO SKY took advantage of the situation and cashed in her Money In The Bank contract to dethrone Belair and claim the title.

During the August 11th episode of SmackDown, the disruptive duo of Damage CTRL, consisting of SKY and Bayley, disrupted the Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair match, leading to a no contest as they assaulted both competitors.

In a recent announcement, WWE revealed that Damage CTRL will unite to face off against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair on the upcoming August 18th episode of SmackDown in Toronto. The upcoming showdown carries an intriguing dynamic, as Belair and Flair have had their fair share of differences when previously teaming up.

Keep checking back with Ringside News as we continue covering this ongoing situation with SmackDown tonight. It should be quite a show, as Edge will wrestle Sheamus as well. Rumor is that Edge’s situation is going to get even more interesting in the weeks to come.
