Aliyah worked hard in NXT for over half a decade, honing her craft and waiting for her big break. She’s been around NXT for so long that the original WWE Network series Breaking Ground chronicled her entry into the developmental system. After her main roster call-up finally went down, many fans were hopeful that she would be a mainstay, but that hasn’t happened.

Aliyah has made no secret in recent memory that she is a bit frustrated about her WWE absence. Her last match took place on RAW on September 12, 2022, when she lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles she held with Raquel Rodriguez to Damage CTRL.

WWE SmackDown will be in Toronto this week, and Aliyah will be in her home city for the show. She posted a photo of Toronto’s CN Tower to X, along with a caption that read: “Just landed in Toronto, why u so pretty at night.”

Aliyah had one fan post back and say, “Can we see you Friday? Aliyah IS Smackdown?” They also included eyeball emojis to make their point.

Aliyah then had to reply to this fan to say that she won’t be on the show. The WWE Superstar said the fan should come by and say hi to her in the crowd.

“Come say hi, I’ll be in the crowd like,”

Aliyah also included a popcorn tub as her own emoji. She is still on the WWE roster, so one would think she would be allowed backstage, but fans might just spot her in the crowd cheering along as well. She also encouraged fans to, “Come get ur selfies.”

Aliyah has been through lot in WWE, but she’s not in any creative plans. It is also unknown what her medical status is, but she certainly seems to be able to take bumps if she is also riding horses, which she has apparently done if you follow along with her Instagram stories.

We will have to see when Aliyah is able to make her return to WWE. She certainly has a load of fans who would love to see it happen. For more on this story, and many more, please keep tuned in with us here at Ringside News.
