The Rock is a shoo-in WWE Hall of Famer, and his family legacy is evident at this point. Now, it appears that his daughter will carry on The Great One’s story as she walks in her father’s footsteps.

WWE fans were fascinated when the company inked a deal with Ava. The fourth-generation Superstar is now a part of the Schism faction in the company’s developmental brand.

During the Peacock show Hart to Heart, The Rock discussed his daughter breaking into the pro wrestling business. It was a special moment to see Simone Johnson, now known as Ava in NXT, make her way in the business that made him famous.

“That was a special moment, when my daughter, Simone — my oldest daughter — said, ‘I want to get into the business,’ much like I said that years before her. Immediately, I just loved it. What a great sense of pride, just as a father.”

“As a parent, you start to think about all the pitfalls, and all the trappings, and all that hardships, and all that sh*t that I know she’s gonna go through, because I’ve lived that business.”

As The Rock knows well, and many fans of the industry know all too well, the pro wrestling world is glamorous on the surface, but there is often a darker underbelly that goes along with it. He went on to say, “I have enough confidence to know that, as her father, I’ve instilled in her … values, work ethic, things like that. Man, I was so proud.”

We’ll have to see what Ava is able to do in WWE. She has a lot of supporters, and it’s evident that her father is watching on as she continues her journey in WWE.
