Roman Reigns has established himself as one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time thanks to his incredible character work. The Tribal Chief has dominated his opponents since his return back in 2020. WWE still calls him an Undisputed champion, but it appears there is doubt over that claim now.
Fans of Roman Reigns were eagerly waiting for him to reach 1000 days as the Universal Champion as WWE continued to hype it up. It happened just before Night Of Champions and even Roman Reigns felt no words were needed after the incredible accomplishment. WWE even celebrated Roman Reigns’ 1000+ day run as Universal Champion by unveiling new title for him.
While speaking during the latest edition of his ‘Oh You Didn’t Know’ podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Road Dogg talked about Roman Reigns still being considered an undisputed champion after WWE introduced a new title for him. He questioned WWE’s decision to still call Roman Reigns an undisputed champion.
I think we’ve seen now, speaking very currently, is the women’s titles also have done the same thing. So you’re going to have a World champion or WWE Champion or Universal Champion and a world champion. I’m not sure where the names exactly lay now, and is Roman Reigns still ‘undisputed?’ I think things like that are going to come out and are really intriguing to me. It’s all intriguing to me. I love the new titles. They’re huge. They’re beautiful, but yet they’re big and plain too, and I think that’s tradition. Look, we all went the way of the big eagle and the big spinner and the big this and the big that. I think these go back to what a championship title looks like.
WWE has officially confirmed that Bloodline Civil War will take place at the WWE Money In The Bank Premium Live Event next month. We’ll have to see how the storyline will progress until then.
