Gunther Celebrates One Year As WWE Intercontinental Champion In Style

Gunther’s incredible performance in NXT UK was simply just the beginning of his career in WWE. Following a decent run on NXT after that, Gunther was called up to the main roster and has since become a bonafide star there. That said, it appears Gunther completed one year as the WWE Intercontinental Champion and celebrated it in style.

The Ring General won the WWE Intercontinental Championship in June 2022 and has since defended it several times already. With each win, Gunther’s stock continues to rise and he becomes more and more dominating.

The Ring General can match Honky Tonk Man’s long-standing record in September. Judging by how dominant he has been as the champion, it is all but confirmed that he will break the record.

Gunther took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of himself celebrating 365 days as the WWE Intercontinental Champion. He celebrated in style by smoking a cigar while enjoying a gorgeous view.

As previously reported, WWE is already discussing having Gunther break The Honky Tonk Man’s record as the Intercontinental Champion. It remains to be seen whether he will end up breaking the record.
