AEW has a roster full of stars, but one of their referees is about to get involved in the action. Aubrey Edwards claims that she tries not to be in the center of attention in her matches, but the AEW referee is also not shy of the spotlight. That being said, not everyone is a fan of that mindset.

During a recent episode of AEW Rampage, the company set the stage for a unique inter-gender tag team match featuring AEW official Aubrey Edwards teaming up with Mark Briscoe against Jeff and Karen Jarrett. However, former WWE official Jimmy Korderas, in his latest “Reffin Rant,” raised doubts about the level of interest in such a matchup.

While drawing from his own experience in a referee strike angle, Jimmy Korderas highlighted that his involvement in the storyline was only a means to advance a greater narrative. That is not a dynamic he sees in Aubrey Edwards’ situation.

“This is just an angle to get someone in there so they can get their 15 minutes of fame and nothing more. That’s how it feels to me, I am not thrilled at all about this.”
