The WWE NXT TV debut match for Simone Johnson, also known as Ava, has been confirmed. The daughter of wrestling legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will participate in a six-person tag team match on the June 6 episode of NXT.

Ava will team up with fellow members of the Schism group, Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler, to take on the formidable trio of Ivy Nile and the Creed brothers, Brutus and Julius, collectively known as Diamond Mine. This match marks Ava’s first match on an actual episode of NXT TV on USA, following her previous wrestling experience at the Stand & Deliver event in April, which streamed on Peacock/WWE Network.

During Stand & Deliver, Ava competed in a multi-person tag match alongside the other members of Schism against the team from Chase University, consisting of Andre Chase, Duke Hudson, Tyler Bate, and Thea Hail.

In addition to Ava’s debut, the June 6 episode of NXT will feature a battle royal to determine the first challenger for NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, although Ava and Ivy Nile were not advertised to be a part of this match. The episode will also showcase a match between Eddy Thorpe and Damon Kemp.

Fans can also expect follow-ups on surprises from the previous episode of NXT, which saw appearances from Mustafa Ali, Blair Davenport, and Baron Corbin. The latter, Baron Corbin, appears to be positioning himself as a challenger for Carmelo Hayes’ NXT Championship.
