Carmelo Hayes Is Glad It Wasn’t Brock Lesnar After Baron Corbin NXT Ambush

Carmelo Hayes worked hard to make himself one of the highlights of NXT. His impeccable in-ring skills and athleticism helped him win over fans as well. He has developed a lot in NXT and is the current NXT Champion. He was also ambushed by Baron Corbin on NXT this week and it appears Hayes finally reacted to it.

Carmelo Hayes eventually defeated Bron Breakker earlier this year to become the NXT Champion. He would then go on to defend his title successfully and has continued to become a major draw for the brand.

As seen on this week’s episode of NXT, Baron Corbin made his shocking return and immediately ambushed Carmelo Hayes. Naturally, this came as a huge shock to fans in attendance.

Following the conclusion of this week’s episode of NXT, Carmelo Hayes reacted to Baron Corbin amusing him. Hayes made it clear he was relieved that it wasn’t Brock Lesnar who attacked him.

We will have to wait and see how WWE will book Carmelo Hayes and Baron Corbin’s feud on NXT television in the coming weeks. After all, Corbin will finally get to do something substantial after a long time.
