WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley is considered a legend in the pro wrestling business. Mick Foley worked in other companies and competed against several top stars in the industry. He has performed in numerous roles in WWE and it appears Foley did not enjoy doing WWE commentary due to Vince McMahon.

Throughout his illustrious career, Mick Foley has enthralled fans thanks to his numerous gimmicks over the years, whether it be Mankind, Cactus Jack or Dude Love. He has also helped put over numerous talent over the years.

Mick Foley has been a WWE Champion, a commissioner and even a general manager in WWE, which is why fans were used to seeing him excel in numerous roles. It is hard to think Foley did not enjoy doing any kind of role in the company.

While speaking on a recent episode of Foley is Pod, the Hardcore Legend talked about his days as a commentator. Foley admitted they weren’t his favorite days due to Vince McMahon yelling into his headset all the time.

”You try to learn from everything you do, and I hope Mr. McMahon learned from that experience. You know, you don’t need to ride your announcers so much. You don’t have to micromanage everything that they do.”

I think it’s counter-productive, and especially when it comes to yelling. That’s not the way I perform best.” I tried it, I think I did a pretty good job,” he declared, noting that he always aimed to put over the performers ahead of his own personality. “I learned from it. I did not enjoy it.”

Mick Foley was also accused of concealing the pain from his injuries for years. Regardless, Mick Foley knew he simply couldn’t take the risk and that’s all that matters to him.

What’s your take on what Mick Foley said? Did you enjoy his role as a WWE commentator? Sound off in the comments!
