Roman Reigns is a tremendous draw for WWE, and he brings a lot of fans to events. That being said, the Tribal Chief’s name even brought a ton of money into the company after they falsely advertised him for an event.

Roman Reigns works a part-time schedule, and the Tribal Chief is really enjoying this time in his WWE career. That being said, it came as a bit of a shock when he appeared on an advertisement for house show later this month. Sadly, that was a mistake.

It was later reported that WWE accidentally advertised Roman Reigns for a house show that he wasn’t scheduled to be at. This caused a bit of a problem after that surge in ticket sales to see the Head of the Table.

WWE issued Fightful the following statement:

“Incorrect promotional material was released that advertised Roman Reigns in Fayetteville this Saturday, May 20.

Roman Reigns will not be Fayetteville.

Refunds will be available at point of purchase until 7:30 ET the day of the event.”

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Roman Reigns’ name actually moved a lot of tickets for the event.

This was a strange story. Reigns was announced by the arena as doing a live house show on 5/20 in Fayetteville, NC. The building promoted it as Reigns’ first time wrestling in the city in more than four years. WWE also took out radio advertising for a few days in the market building the show around Reigns. Then on 5/17, WWE let us know that Reigns won’t be in Fayetteville and that refunds for ticket holders can be made until 7:30 p.m. the day of the show. Apparently the promotional team got an old set of Reigns dates before they were changed. They had 3,816 tickets out when the announcement was made and 4,521 when they announced he was not on the show, so that’s great movement for a few days for a house show

We will have to see if Roman Reigns makes it up to that market and attends an event in the future. With his part-time schedule, it seems that Roman Reigns might not make many events in the future.

What’s your take on Roman Reigns’ situation now? Do you think that he deserves his part-time schedule? Sound off in the comments!
