WWE has a lot going on, and they are taping multiple episodes of SmackDown tonight. One episode will air live, but the company will expect the live crowd to stick around for even more action. Now, the crowd has another reason to stay.

Austin Theory is the current WWE United States Champion, and he is still going strong after WrestleMania. He also skirted Backlash, but he will have a new challenger very soon,.

BWE, who has a reputation of nailing reports online, tweeted out behind his private Twitter account that Austin Theory will defend his United States Title against Sheamus. That match will not go down at Night of Champions as most expected. Instead, it will take place during the company’s taped SmackDown.

Night of Champions is going down in Saudi Arabia on May 27th, but it appears that the United States Title won’t be defended at that event after all. Only time will tell if Sheamus will topple Theory, but WWE has booked title changes in the past.

WWE has taped multiple episodes of SmackDown at once in the past to accommodate their trips to Saudi Arabia. This will not be any different from previous occasions, so we will likely have spoilers as soon as the event goes down.

What’s your take on WWE’s plan for their taped SmackDown? Sound off in the comments!
